We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Back Office Officer with Arabic for Payments team to support the day-to-day processing of global payment transactions, including fund inflows and outflows. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant execution of all payment operations while collaborating with internal teams and external banking partners. It is ideally suited to someone with strong knowledge of international payments, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to identify financial crime risks.
Responsibilities:
- Process daily payment transactions (fund-in and fund-out), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate with AML, Compliance, Customer Support, Accounting, and Sales teams to resolve back-office and payment-related matters.
- Liaise with payment service providers and banks to facilitate seamless transaction processing and issue resolution.
- Provide support on banking transactions and troubleshoot operational issues as they arise.
- Monitor transactions for signs of financial crime such as money laundering or terrorist financing, escalating high-risk activities as appropriate.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in payment operations.
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned in line with business needs.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
- Exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in payment operations or financial transaction processing, ideally within a fintech or regulated financial institution is nice to have.
- Strong understanding of international payment systems, banking processes, and transaction workflows is nice to have.
- Familiarity with AML/CTF regulations, with the ability to detect and escalate suspicious or high-risk activities is nice to have.
- Willingness to work on a rotating shift schedule (Monday to Friday): 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM and 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM.
