This role will be part of our Data department - working directly with Financial Analytics and Regulatory Reporting teams.
As the Senior Engineer (Financial Data Architect) you will play a key role in ensuring that data flowing between capital products and reporting systems are uninterrupted, performant and compliant. In this role you will work closely with Product Development teams - ensuring consistency between product design and reporting requirements. You will also support the Financial Analytics Product Owner and the Financial Analytics teams around detailing new reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders.
Experience & Domain Knowledge Requirements:
- Data Architecture - Ability to translate business processes into high level entity structures and then to specific data objects;
- Financial Applications Proficiency - Familiarity with Finance and Regulatory Reporting domain - investment products, regulations, current trends;
- Scalability Technologies - Understanding of Big Data challenges and the industry standard approaches to tackling them;
- Data compliance - Good knowledge of major regulations like GDPR, CASS, Consumer Duty, EMIR, MIFIR, etc;
- RDBMS: Strong experience with one or more major Database System (Postgresql, MySQL, MS SQL, etc);
- Data Modelling - Familiarity with data modelling approaches, modelling goals and trade-offs;
- Communication - Good communication skills as in this role you will engage with multiple teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering requirements based on Product Teams development plans and design decisions;
- Support Financial Analytics teams in ongoing development work: mentoring, code reviews;
- Maintaining the design and documentation of the Financial Data Warehouse;
- Close collaboration with Financial Analytics and Regulatory Reporting Product Owner;
- Ensuring consistency of data modelling approaches, implementation of best practices, adherence to SDLC policies and fostering an open culture.
