JOB DESCRIPTION
 
TKO is seeking a Senior Systems/Software Engineer to support the Data Normalization and Automation effort which provides normalization of cyber security data and automation of cyber threat intelligence. 

The engineer will provide technical leadership for a software development team. Software design concepts and experience and a strong problem solving skills are required. 

Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks, REST API development and server-side programming experience is also needed.

The successful candidate will interface with customers, provide report update on team efforts, participate in technical discussions, including recertification discussions.

  EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE:   
  • Master’s Degree + 18 years of software/systems application experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 20 years of software/systems application experience, OR
  • No Degree + 24 years of software/systems applications experience. 
                                                                          
  NOTE:  Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines.

The role and responsibilities of a Software Engineer:  develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
