We’ve grown over 3x by all measures in the past year – including revenue, customers, and employees – and we’re searching for more great folks such as yourself to help us transform the world of commission management.

About the role

The Site Reliability Engineering team in CaptivateIQ operates horizontally across the engineering organization, supporting our development teams by providing them with the tools and processes they need to operate in a frictionless manner. We provide the infrastructure needed to run our production platform, and are responsible for the reliable and secure operation of that platform. We own the observability that will give us prior warning of impending issues, and will take the necessary action to mitigate those issues.

The team are passionate, driven, forward-thinking engineers, who take as much pride in problem prevention as they do in problem solving. We are passionate about technology and innovation, and continually strive to be aware of the latest solutions the industry has to offer. Automation and infrastructure-as-code enable us to put efficient, repeatable processes in place, and we have the flexibility and foresight needed for us to ensure we are working where we are needed most.

We strive to be excellent communicators who understand the value of cooperation with stakeholders, and the importance of information sharing. We have the capability to develop expertise in areas we are less familiar with and the ability to share that knowledge with the rest of the team.

We are primarily interested in candidates who are located in the Central or East Coast US time zones.

Responsibilities:

    • Help the engineering team to deliver safe, reliable code to production to meet product requirements.
    • Design, develop and maintain our infrastructure as we grow to take on more customers and more complex use cases.
    • Develop monitoring and dashboards to ensure visibility into all aspects of our application’s performance and stability
    • Implementing systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform.
    • Document everything so your findings turn into repeatable actions; automate everything.
    • Create runbooks and incident response plans to respond to issues quickly and efficiently
    • Ensure CaptivateIQ adheres to its compliance and security requirements.

Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role
    • Familiarity with security, deployment, and management for AWS
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
    • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
    • Experience with Docker, containers, and container orchestration tools (ECS, Nomad, Kubernetes)
    • Some experience with scripting skills (Bash, Python)
    • Sharp attention to detail, solutions-oriented, and a user-centric focus

Nice to have:

    • Experience in building scalable, reliable web applications
    • Experience with PostgreSQL and RDS
    • Experience with Redis and ElastiCache
    • Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., HIPAA, PCI)
    • Experience with SOC2 audits and controls

Benefits:

    • (US-ONLY) 100% of medical, dental, and vision covered including 75% for dependents
    • Flexible vacation days and quarterly mental health days so you can recharge
    • Enjoy a one-time expense on your 1-year work anniversary (to use for travel, home furnishings, fancy meal)
    • One time work from home stipend & annual stipends for professional development and caretaking
    • Virtual team lunches to keep you connected
    • (US-ONLY) 401k plan to participate in and save towards the future
    • Newest Apple products to help you do your best work
    • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support and celebrate the shared identities and life experiences of communities within CaptivateIQ. ERGs directly support our company-wide DEI goals as a space for developing and retaining diverse talent
