We are currently looking for a dynamic production scheduler for our Materials Operations division located at our headquarters in Redwood City, California.  As a Global Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for globally scheduling the production of our chemicals.  This position reports into the Global Director of Materials Operations.


    • Ensure that supply covers demand, by approving purchase orders and/or stock transfers; work with Sales to reschedule, or cancel open orders as necessary or feasible
    • Participate in daily team meetings, identify shortfalls and surpluses and communicate and align constraint-based schedules to relevant global interfaces
    • Maintain well organized purchase order, invoice and packing list documents; verify information and resolve related issues; prepare purchase orders and confirm information accuracy prior to issuing
    • Measure and evaluate supplier performance by key metrics including on-time delivery and quality
    • Update and maintain Material Master:  BOM, part number, price and specification documents, safety stock and lead time
    • Collaborate with logistics and suppliers regarding shipment details, including dates, documents, packaging, labeling, insurance, freight type and freight cost, incoterms, and custom clearance
    • Connect with vendors on packaging design and ensure packaging supply material readiness
    • Manage on-site, off-site, excess and obsolete inventories


    • Demonstrated success in the above key responsibilities
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related discipline and two years experience in production scheduling or supply chain planning and scheduling
    • In lieu of Bachelor’s degree a minimum of 5 years prior experience in production scheduling in the Chemical or Transportation/Logistics industry
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work effectively with all personnel regardless of function/level
    • Fluency in MS word and Excel

Preferred Experience:

    • Experience with SAP APO/SCM and PPDS or other similar supply planning suites
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Transportation compliance and regulatory systems
    • Experience in using Oracle Cloud/Fusion
