Our Operations team is seeking a Product Support Engineer to help ensure that our products are in compliance with local regulations. This will be a 6 month contract to start.

Responsibilities:

    • Establish, track and research applicable regulatory requirements to demonstrate compliance for hardware products
    • Provide cross-functional guidance to ensure new and existing products, components, and materials comply with pertinent regulations world-wide
    • Provide guidance for regulatory marking and documentation requirements on products and packaging, examples include FCC, UL, CE, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, etc.
    • Support 3rd party safety and compliance evaluations and testing tasks in accordance with project timelines
    • Manage the preparation, signature, submittal, sharing, and archival of all regulatory documentation
    • Coordinate activities between expert regulatory and legal consultants and the internal cross-functional team
    • Attend design reviews and risk analysis exercises to provide input on regulatory concerns and drive design compliance
    • Work with peers across the company to support product development, testing and product release
    • Organize and assist with the execution of risk assessments on equipment, assembly process, and customer use case to comply with industry and regulatory standards

Requirements:

    • Identify regional sales and import regulations and requirements regarding Product compliance
    • Interpret legal requirements and standards for efficient execution of compliance
    • Review specifications and designs with Engineering during the development process
    • Participate and/or facilitate risk and resolution processes (FMEA) to promote well thought out approach to product safety and compliance in the concept and design phase

Preferred Experience:

    • Sufficient experience to advise on best practices for compliance to world wide hardware requirements
    • Experience working with Nationally Recognized Testing Labs (NRTLs) and Product Safety consultants
    • Hands-on experience in Qualitative & Quantitative Risk assessment
    • Experience in a product development and hardware manufacturing environment
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills required
    • Results driven with the ability to work well independently
    • Ability to multitask, handling multiple priorities simultaneously
