**Job Description: Medical Assistant**
**Location:** Echo Park
**Position Type:** Per Diem
**Experience:** 1-3 years in a medical assistant role, Urgent care experience preferred
**Certification:** Medical Assistant Certification required

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in urgent care settings. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare professionals and ensuring the efficient operation of our clinic.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures- Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs- Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures- Assist with patient scheduling and administrative tasks- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment- Provide exceptional patient care and customer service
**Qualifications:**
- Medical Assistant Certification required- 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant- Experience in urgent care settings preferred- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment- Proficiency in basic medical software and electronic health records.
