Cardiosense is a digital health company that operates at the intersection of wearable technology and artificial intelligence to improve patient health. Our mission is to use physiological waveform data to predict cardiac illness and enable early interventions so people can enjoy healthier, longer lives.
To achieve our mission we are building a physiological waveform AI platform to develop predictive biomarkers to detect and manage cardiac disease. The company has developed a suite of novel digital tools, multi-sensor devices, and analysis algorithms for use by care providers to detect clinical worsening earlier, inform personalized therapy, and improve patient outcomes.
Our team brings together experts in data science, electronics, and healthcare and has partnered with leading healthcare and academic institutions to introduce the next generation of patient waveform monitoring and analytics solutions.


The Firmware and Software IoT Architect role is essential in developing innovative solutions that provide clinically relevant insights from non-invasive sensors for Cardiosense. Your work will directly impact the advancement of healthcare technologies and improve patient outcomes, making a significant difference in the medical field.


    • Architect, Design, Implement: Secure, reliable, and scalable firmware, software, and IoT solutions for digital health applications, with a focus on hands-on prototyping and development.
    • Technical Roadmaps: Define and manage technical roadmaps for the integration of IoT devices into our digital health ecosystem.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and data scientists, to ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and cloud platforms.
    • Communication Protocols: Select and implement appropriate communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) for secure data transmission between devices, applications, and the cloud.
    • Security Measures: Lead the development and implementation of robust security measures to protect patient data privacy and device integrity.
    • Hands-On Development: Engage in hands-on development and debugging of firmware and software components for embedded systems.
    • Technology Trends: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in digital health, IoT, and embedded systems, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.
    • Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for designed systems.
    • Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance and reliability of IoT devices and their interaction with cloud-based services.


    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in designing and developing firmware, software, and/or IoT solutions, with a strong emphasis on hands-on development.
    • Proven experience in designing secure and reliable embedded systems.
    • Strong understanding of communication protocols and cloud integration principles. 
    • Strong ability to communicate requirements, manage tasks, and relay results to management teams.


    • Programming Languages (e.g., C, C++, Python) with hands-on experience
    • Embedded Systems Development (experience with development tools and debuggers)
    • Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) (experience with development and integration)
    • Communication Protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular) (experience with implementation and testing)Cloud Integration (AWS, Azure, GCP) (experience with building and deploying applications) 
    • Security Principles (Encryption, Authentication) (experience with security best practices and implementation)
    • Data Structures and Algorithms


    • Experience in the Digital Health domain.
    • Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, HIPAA) is a plus 
    • Experience with Agile development methodologies
