Career Karma is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Platform team responsible for designing and implementing our infrastructure in AWS, improving our monitoring and alerting, applying security practices into the process, working with application engineers to find and implement the right solutions, and ensuring uptime, resilience, and scalability of the system.

This is a fully remote position and we are prioritizing candidates located in Europe.

Skills you'll need to bring:

    • 7+ years of solid and proven experience in a DevOps position
    • Kubernetes experience: designing, deploying, and operating complex production environments using advanced cloud-native tools
    • Cloud experience: AWS (must), GCP, Azure (nice to have)
    • Infrastructure as a code: Terraform
    • Good knowledge of infrastructure, application, and system security practices (NIST, SOC2, GDPR)
    • Extensive CI/CD knowledge, implementing software build and deployment pipelines
    • Hands-on monitoring experience with modern tools and services, e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch, DataDog, NewRelic
    • Deep understanding of SDLC
    • Experience with High Availability, Scalability, and Reliability solutions
    • Excellent communication, along with a good command of spoken and written English.

How you'll help us fulfil our mission:

    • Manage and deploy cloud-based environments for all stages of application development and testing
    • Build deployment tooling to allow our application developers greater autonomy and self-service
    • Integrate security measures into the development pipeline, ensure products are safe and secure against possible attacks, and ensure compliance with established standards and regulations
    • Get the infrastructure ready for SOC2 certification
    • Develop and deploy CI/CD automation infrastructure using Github Actions
    • Monitor system components and application processing to proactively identify incidents, and resolve issues to maintain the highest possible uptime
