Cook Prescreen Questions

  • For this position as a cook, you must be able to perform the following: Lifting food, supplies and equipment up to 46lbs and must be able to push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs. This position also requires you to walk and stand on your feet for the duration of your shift. Do you have anything that would prohibit your ability to perform the demands of the job?
  • Journeyman Cook, Red Seal certification or equivalent certificate. Please indicate what education / certification.
  • Do you have experience with preparing food and beverages for specialized diets.
  • Do you have experience with inventory management and food ordering.
  • Have you worked in food services department in either a hospital and or care home before?
  • Do you have experience working with complex mental health clients or customers?
  • For this position you must be able read and write English proficiently is this a skill you are able to perform?
  • Do you have a Food Sanitation and Hygiene Certificate or equivalent?
  • With this role, you are required to take a leadership role in the department. How many years of leadership experience do you have?
  • When are you able to start work?

Casual Availability

  • The role of the casual employee is to fill in when regular employees are not able to work; you can be scheduled shifts in advance however a lot of times you could receive a call at the last minute to come work that day. Which days of the week are you available?
