The Opportunity
The Sr. Allied Health Practice Lead promotes excellence in Allied Health practice with advanced knowledge in evidence-based practice within clinical care, systems leadership and advancement of allied health practice, evaluation and research. Reporting to the Director of Quality and Performance, the Sr. Allied Health Practice Lead will lead allied health guideline and protocol development and implementation and identifying opportunities to increase allied health practice based on best evidence. They will lead allied health team consultation while consulting with appropriate stakeholders both internal and external to Carewest on system change, following through with planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives. Program Summary: This role will focus on Carewest rehabilitation care sites with services that span long term care, post-acute and ambulatory programs.

Qualifications Required:
- Masters level degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy.
- Active or eligible for practice license and professional registration, as appropriate to the discipline, in one of the following disciplines: Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
- PROSCI Change Management certificate. AHS Change management modules.
- Alberta Health Services Improvement Way (AIW) Green Belt certification.

Experience Required:
- A minimum of ten years’ experience in healthcare education, leadership or professional development role in an organization of significant size complexity and diversity.
- Minimum 3 years of full-time clinical experience in the last 5 years in continuing care, focusing on rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and build collaborative relationships with staff, physicians, patients and families, leaders, learners and external partners and facilitate group processes.
- Demonstrated progressive leadership roles.
- Knowledge of wide range of research design methodologies.
- Knowledge of program evaluate on approaches and outcomes measurements.
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize complex problems and seek solutions.
- Connect Care proficiency. Preferred:
- Project management and change management knowledge and experience an asset.
- Demonstrated ability in planning, implementing and leading change from an evidence-based perspective.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and experience.
