The Opportunity

We are actively seeking a Rehabilitation CSM for our fast paced, inpatient rehabilitation units, ambulatory C3 program and day hospital and long-term care units. As a Rehab CSM, you will be part of an interprofessional team driven to enhance health care delivery by utilizing evidence-based practice, standards and the full scope of your skills and experience to support clinical teams in providing exceptional care to Carewest clients. This role will be part of the leadership team at these sites and will collaborate to provide safe, quality client and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision, mission and values of Carewest. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to client and family centered care, health promotion and maintenance.

Program Summary: 
Carewest is excited to offer the new position of a Rehabilitation Client Services Manager (CSM) that focuses on the diverse population we have throughout the organization in three core streams of business: post-acute rehabilitation programs, long-term care programs and ambulatory day programs. With a focus on clients at our Carewest Glenmore Park and Carewest Sarcee sites, the successful candidate will contribute to Carewest’s reputation as Calgary’s leading post-acute provider of short-term inpatient physical rehabilitation services for clients over the age of 18 years old.

Qualifications: 
- Completion of an accredited Masters of Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy program.
- Current registration with appropriate professional licensing body.
Required: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Preferred: PROSCI Change Management certificate. Alberta Improvement Way (AIW) Green Belt certification.

Experience: 
Required: Minimum 3 years acute care therapy experience within the last 5 years. Previous leadership roles such as Practice lead, supervisory or managerial experience. Experience working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, including physicians. Experience leading, implementing and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives. Demonstrated experience mentoring and leading others. Experience with policy and program development. Experience with the development and/or implementation of evidence-based practice. Experience with Netcare, Connect Care.
Preferred: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal, and teaching skills are required. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the areas of strategic planning, project management, utilization management, quality improvement, data analysis, program evaluation, systems perspective and change management.
