Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assessing client speech, language, cognitive communication and swallowing needs to facilitate rehabilitation and maintenance of clients at optimal functioning level. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and recommending changes to advanced or specialized procedures and programs of speech, language and communication disorders. Also responsible for identifying outcomes of client treatment. Responsible for other related duties as required.
Program summary:
Neuro Rehabilitation Program – for adults who have had a neurological injury, such as a stroke, and require additional
assessment, recuperation and rehabilitation before returning to the community.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduation from a recognized university program at a Masters level or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Registration in the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists & Audiologists (ACSLPA) required; Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathology & Audiology an asset
- Experience using speech therapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset
