This Maintenance Worker III (MWIII) role is a float position designed to support all Carewest sites. The role provides flexible support for various organizational needs, including vacation coverage, project work, and emergent site requirements. Under limited supervision, the MWIII performs a wide range of skilled and complex maintenance and repair duties aligned with accepted standards and procedures.

• Inspecting, testing, installing, repairing, and maintaining complex mechanical equipment and systems such as washers, dryers, dishwashers, and non-biomedical equipment.

• Monitoring, controlling, and repairing boilers and cooling systems, including performing regular boiler checks.

• Conducting renovation and structural repair work.

• Implementing and completing the preventative maintenance program.

• Keeping accurate logs and records.

• Taking on a leadership role when required to ensure effective team coordination.

The role also includes other related duties as necessary to support organizational goals.

Qualifications: 

- Minimum 5th class Power Engineer Certificate or combination of A or B with Special Boiler Operator’s Certificate

- Vehicle and valid Alberta Driver's License required. 

- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in large building and equipment maintenance, including boiler operations required.

- Basic computer skills are required for daily use of the AHS e-Facilities system.
