Full-time /
 1.     Commercial responsibilities
a.     Responsible for Profit and Loss of the department of ROAD Transport.
b.     Achieve the financial, strategic targets, KPIs and other goals set for ROAD Transport.
c.     Ensure monthly results are reported on-time and ensuring proper bad debt management.
d.     Compliance according to ROAD handbook and its directives and procedures.
2.     Product responsibilities
a.     Identify and develop the ROAD strategy as well as strategic initiatives and transformation into day-to-day business decisions and business development activities.
b.     Develop on all aspect of the ROAD business which includes cross-border, domestic distribution, national transportation and other potential solutions to improve our service portfolio to customers.
c.     Ability to create and tailor relevant business solutions to meet customers’ requirement.
d.     Work actively with other departments to implement the cargo-partner’s integrated services (for ROAD international transport and final mile distribution).
e.     Standardize the processes, SOPs & guidelines, corporate IT-solutions, benchmarks and compliance procedures in line with Group’s specifications and the country requirements to ensure and develop an efficient & sustainable organization structure.
f.      Drive operations excellence, 5S, continuous improvement and best practice sharing.
g.     Quality control of all related activities to the services performed for Road Transportation
h.     Establishes efficient communication processes and structures of all related issues/risks to the services performed for ROAD Transportation to monitor the service standards consistently.
i.       Develop customer service protocol, process to align with regional and country management.
j.       Build strong interfaces with: CPM, Sales Heads, Branch Management, MD, National controlling
3. Operational Responsibilities
a.     Cooperate and support colleagues from other departments of the organization and other Business Units in a constructive manner.
b.     Ensure 100% SPOT.
c.     Ensure that the KPIs are being achieved by the subcontractors.
d.     Work with suppliers to improve their service if KPIs are not being met.
e.     Constantly identifying and sourcing new vendors or business partners to add value to the business.
4. Sales responsibilities
a.     Actively support X-sales, KAS, Air, Sea and Logistics functions in selling ROAD Services by providing expert know-how in sales and tender processes.
b.     Develop success stories and showcases to attract new business opportunities.
c.     Support sales activities and with attendance on key customer meetings for ROAD.
d.     Execute corporate sales campaign together with local sales and marketing.
5. Leadership responsibilities
a.     Cooperate with the HR department to recruit new employees for own team
b.     Responsible for the onboarding and training of new team members
c.     Coaches, mentors and develops own team members
d.     Sets and evaluates performance targets for each subordinate
e.     Conducts appraisal interviews with subordinates, according to company rules
f.      Manages underperformance of subordinates, if needed
g.     Performs continuous check and update of subordinates’ job specific know-how, suggesting and delivering trainings when needed
h.     Responsible for the compliance of department´s employees with the company rules and regulations
i.       Maintains and encourages transparent and open communication within own team, fosters a spirit of teamwork and unity
6. General responsibilities
a.     Communicates in a polite and professional manner
b.     Acts with good faith, in the interest of the company
c.     Abides by all company´s internal and legal rules and regulations
d.     Shows diplomacy when handling conflict situations. Request written opinion and escalate the problem as soon solution is beyond own authority level
e.     Performs additional tasks, assigned by the employer as per employee’s qualification and role, according to company’s operational needs
f.      Uses company’s goods and equipment’s according to their destination, and only in the interest of the job
g.     Does not disclose own passwords, nor passes on access card or key to anyone

Minimum Education /Qualifications/Experience

    • Good business acumen and knowledge of land transport
    • Freight Forwarding
    • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Logistics &Supply Chain/transportation management/ relevant discipline preferably.
    • 12-15 years working experience in Road Transportation with at least 5 years at a Leadership position at different Geographies
    • Experience in FTL and LTL

Special Knowledge:

    • Computer basic knowledge, MS Office
    • Understand the special processes, customs regulations and requirements of logistics in Cross Border Industry.
    • Knowledge in contract logistics and supply chain solutions Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Good English Language
