Are you an experienced Road Freight Operator looking for a career with a growing global business?
In our relatively short time in Spain we have enjoyed remarkable success and as we look to strengthen our operations teams across the region we are on the hunt for an experienced Road Freight Operator to join our Barcelona branch.
Here you will be responsible within a team to coordinate and organise the full range of road freight services such as pricing, import/export clearance, bookings, and stakeholder management. You will receive extensive internal and external training as well as an online training for customs legislation and foreign trade, as well as daily support.
For over 40 years, we have served our clients with our Air, Ocean, Road, and Warehousing portfolio and we have enjoyed another very successful year at cargo-partner having strengthened our global position by joining the Nippon Express Group.

Responsibilities:
· Calculating road freight quotations and emailing to the customers
· Communicating with our clients keeping them up to date on the status of their goods
· Negotiating the best rates with our carriers
· Planning the most efficient and economical routes with our carriers on behalf of our clients
· Reporting quotation successes to Inside Sales
· Loading bookings into the FCL system
· Seeking the most cost effective domestic collection/delivery costs and booking with hauliers and pallet networks
· Building export groupage trailers and completing export documentation
· Liaising with stakeholders regarding the loading/unloading of trailers, labelling and cargo discrepancies
· Liaising with cargo-partner in Europe regarding customs clearances, deliveries, collections and discrepancies
· Preparing each shipment/file for invoicing
Desired skills/experience:
· Strong customer-facing and interaction skills with high-level of customer orientation
· Experience working in a similar road operations role
· Fluent in Spanish and English
· High competency managing road cargo shipments
· Team engagement and support
· The desire to progress within an international company
· The ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
· A passion for transport and logistics
· Ideally degree educated
