Our cargo-partner team in Stockholm is looking to continue growth and development through the recruitment of new colleague(s) to our business in Stockholm. This is a broad role with both management exposure and responsibility, but also will be required to do own handling of import/export transport files.

cargo-partner is an Austrian family owned Freight Forwarder who entered the market in Sweden in 2017. Since then we have opened offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg with a focus on Air, Sea, Road and Logistics.

Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the financial result of all profit centers related to Air Import/Export/coloading busniness and achieving budget targets defined for the department.
    • Responsible for set-up and continuous improvement of work-flow and operational procedures within the department.
    • Implementing corporate and national product strategy and SOPs within own department.
    • Responsible for the development of the business within own profit center – gain additional business from existing or new clients.
    • Own handling of Air Import/Export transports, in compliance with the company’s rules, SOPs and management instructions.
    • Responsible for the compliance of each physical and electronic transport file (own and team members): collecting all legally and internally required documents and updating all required systems for each handled shipment.
    • Responding to requests for quotation with appropriate solution and price offer, within the timeline defined by the company (GD “Quotation Speed”) .
    • Handling damages and deficits of shipments according to relevant SOPs, immediate communication of the problems related to handled transports to the superior
    • Supervision of the department’s employees activity and handled Air transports; troubleshooting and/or escalation where required
    • Following up the offers and collecting feedback from the client or Sales
    • Informing other offices about potential business in their region (sales leads).
    • To be responsible for personnel leadership within the department
    • To coordinate within the department and with other departments and countries within the Company
    • To conduct the performance management for the team, responsible for train and mentor high potentials in operations and sales
    • To take up additional assignments/tasks as required to meet with the Company needs.

What are we looking for?

    • At least 3 years relevant experience in Airfreight Import & Export daily operations in freight forwarding industry;
    • Solid experience in air import procedure, local trucking, cross border trucking and the logistics arrangements;
    • Proficiency in MS Office Applications;
    • Good command in written and spoken English
    • Willing to learn, self-motivated, good communication skills and able to work under pressure.
