Sr. Executive/ Assistant Manager - Global Network Development

Purpose: To ensure that global network for air and sea is constantly growing by developing the target markets.

a)    Working on agents business inquires and submitting rates to agents
b)    Reviewing the rate submission to agent and following up for business conversion
c)     Analysis of quote submission and arranging reviews with agents
d)    Drives company’s business development through agents. Follow up for Business opportunities in GND Network.
e)    Executes the short, medium and long term strategy in alignment with the Line Management.
f)      Handle business opportunities and acting as Route Manager on existing business from Agents
g)    Build special market knowledge and support the group with the same whenever needed or requested .
h)    Maintaining the Account Profile of the agent by keeping relevant details like contacts, addresses, etc. up-to-date.
i)      Coordination with Product Management on procurement and product solutions of the specific market.
j)      Be the Key contact to follow up with Agents on open issues. Driving the feedback process on Service quality.
k)     Manage agents’ grievances and interact with different operational and commercial levels for Continuous Process Improvement.
l)      Building long-term relationships of highest level with strategic partners. Support setting corporate standards and ensure them to be followed sustainably.
m)   Maintain Quote Log and share conversion details at regular intervals.
n)    Maintain and share monthly tariffs with Agents.
o)    Be available 24x7 to discuss in case of doubts/escalations/approvals required
p)    Work in close coordination with other team members and support the business activity from different agents in different part of world.

Educational Qualification

    • a)    Mandatory - Graduate in any discipline
    • b)    Preferred - Post-graduate in Management with specialization in International Business/ Shipping and Logistics/ Sales & Marketing

Experience and Skills

    • a)    Market knowledge of logistics/ freight forwarding
    • b)    Strong selling and negotiation skills
    • c)     Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • d)    Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS office.
    • e)    Atleast 10 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding with additional experience of managing agent business.
    • f)      Language Proficiency – Must have excellent command over spoken and written English.
