Enquiry & Rate Management Receiving enquires from shipper/overseas agents / sales & acknowledging within 2hrs Updating enquiry into the enquiry tracker / logisys Rate negotiation with Shipping line/forwarding agent Follow-up of quote with shipper/agent Responsible for freight negotiations with carriers Ensure best price in the business Finalizing RFQ’S for ocean freight movements Ocean Freight rate negotiation with shipping line / Co-loaders for Inbound / outbound FCL as well as LCL shipments. Pricing Act as SPOC for Pricing & Nominations on a Pan India basis. Ensuring space availability and solving out equipment and space problem with carriers. Filing the ocean freight rates with shipping lines for various destinations Respond to Global RFQ’s / Local rate request.

A. Tasks & Responsibility Tasks & Responsibility Analyzing RFQ’s received from customers and responds them with pricing solutions Relationship Management Maintaining and developing relationships with Carriers Develop relationship with carriers / Rate Negotiations Attending customer’s queries locally & all branches as well as overseas agents and sending competitive quotes. Develop & maintain quoted v/s converted business database to evaluate the success of our pricing levels /strategy. Co-coordinating with Marketing Executive & Branch offices (Overseas Agents & in India’s offices) regarding the rates, Meet turn-around-time for every pricing request. Negotiate for freight with Liner’s/Forwarders (FCL/LCL both) and share the same with the marketing persons on weekly basis. Co-ordination with carriers/feeder operators/agents for rates. Develop & maintain pricing database for Air & Ocean FCL/LCL both on an ongoing basis. Filing freights in lines and updating freights in system for Air & sea both. Support to the seniors with analysis of performance data to facilitate management decision making. Generate Market Information and disseminate the same through relevant channels to sales. Daily reporting to HOD.
Qualification Level of Education- Extended commercial education or special education in Sea freight forwarding Working Experience At least 10 years in Sea freight in terms of - Development of USP´s and product definition - Implementation and product launch within sales and operational organization - Carrier negotiations and personal contacts - Key account sales and development Special Knowledge - Computer basic knowledge MS Office - Know how in operational systems (Alfresco, Jasper, SPOT) English language (business fluent) - Established shipping company network (close contacts to carriers) Superior economic geographical skills - Knowledge of operational processes - Close connection to the Business market (Sales, Purchase, Partners) Personal Qualification Proven record of own business development with multinationals Convincing presentation and communication skills in native tongue + English language Leadership and negotiation skills Talents of - dominance (“better than others”) - stimulance (“passion for excellence”) - balance (“we take it personally”) Sales-oriented Motivating / Self-Motivating Willingness and ability to travel Sales and Purchasing ability to give new/fresh impetus Networking Foresight thinking
