The Data Strategy Manager is an integral part of the Digital Office and closely collaborates with the entire organization, in particular with Directors Corporate Product Management, Corporate Operations Management, Corporate Functions (M&S, Finance, Controlling, HR etc.) as well as IT / Business Intelligence, Digital Business Managers and Customer Experience Specialists to drive the designing, building, and implementation of the cargo-partner Data Strategy that will help enhance operational excellence and competitive / commercial advantage in business.
The Data Strategy Manager ensures that the Data Strategy is supporting the achievement of defined corporate business objectives by conducting as-is data capability assessments, formulating relevant data use cases along the customer journey (or operating model), aligning respective priorities and suggesting roadmaps towards a data-driven organization. The role also supports the strategic advice on technological solutions for businesses with the focus on advanced analytics, data platforms & architecture, and data-driven business insights. 

Responsibilities

    • Define the overall data strategy and evaluate its business impact
    • Work with Digital Business Lead, Digital Business Product Managers and other stakeholders throughout cargo-partner to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive new (digital) or improve existing business solutions.
    • Work with Customer Experience Specialists to identify and drive areas of improvements along the (digital) customer journey and relevant priority touch-points
    • Mine and analyze data from cargo-partner databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies
    • Work with Business and Supporting Unit Leaders to identify opportunities how to improve core revenue and cost drivers through data analytics

What we expect

    • Degree (master / diploma) preferably in Quantitative Methods, Business Analytics, Economics, Data Science, Big Data, Computer Science
    • At least five to ten years' practical experience in data strategy and governance, alternatively in data strategy consulting
    • Practical knowledge of tools, frameworks & technologies within at least one of the following categories:
    • Data Strategy (Data Governance, Data Management)
    • Business Intelligence (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
    • Machine Learning (R, Python, SAS, SPSS)
    • Cloud Platforms (Google, Azure, Amazon Web Services)
    • Interested to work not only on delivery of data strategy, but also on business development activities

Wage (gross): 5000EUR/month *By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
