Senior Research Associate, Platform Biology

Cartography Biosciences is a therapeutics organization creating the first atlas to identify targets that are specific enough to only engage cancerous cells, broad enough to work across cancer cells and patients, and safe enough to sidestep toxic side effects. Founded by Kevin Parker, Howard Chang, and Ansu Satpathy, Cartography is bridging immunology and computation to understand the critical differences between normal and cancerous cells, ultimately solving the challenge of finding the safest, most selective targets for a variety of immunotherapeutic approaches.
About the position:
We looking for a research associate to play a major role in the development of new approaches
for selecting antibody binders using in vitro systems including phage and yeast display. You will
join a dynamic, highly-innovative team working to build the next generation of cancer therapies
using modern approaches in the precision medicine toolkit.
What You'll Do:
- Design and execute parallel affinity-based selections on cells.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to screen and evaluate selections from in vitro phage / yeast
-Present findings to the team and the company as needed.
- Opportunities for new technology development with a strong team of scientists.
Who You Are:
-Undergraduate/graduate degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Molecular Biology, or
-1+ years of experience with general protocols in molecular biology and/or protein biochemistry.
-Experience performing library selections and characterizing binders from an in vitro panning
-Experience and interest in antibodies, immunology, and immunotherapies is a plus.
