Role Purpose:
Join CarTrawler’s dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping and optimising our global insurance offering—an essential value-add to our car rental proposition that’s enabled through strategic partnerships with leading insurance providers. 

As the key owner of insurance partner relationships, you will drive strategic collaboration both internally and externally to ensure our insurance products remain innovative, compliant, and commercially valuable. You’ll be at the forefront of maintaining a best-in-class insurance portfolio to support a partner base that includes some of the world’s largest airlines and travel brands. 

In this commercially focused role, you’ll contribute to contract negotiations, performance reviews, and claims oversight, while identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement

Main accountabilities and key tasks:

    • Insurance partner account management across our global panel of insurers building effective, professional relationships.  
    • Monitor insurance product performance and identify gaps for optimisation. 
    • Promote two-way information sharing with our stakeholders, particularly with regards to performance. 
    • Responsibility for continued optimisation of the insurance product offering and collaboration to identify creative yet compliant solutions to improve performance. 
    • Actively monitor claims cost exposure, implementing strategies to reduce claim occurrences and work to manage claims costs effectively. 
    • Ensure compliance with regulations by working with the legal team.  
    • Be the expert on our insurance products and their performance by keeping up to date on the market, the competitive landscape (incl. research), our user challenges, and how those inputs relate to the business strategy.   
    • Be comfortable operating in regulated (insurance), commercial, and technology domains – balancing commercial gain with regulated parameters.   

Knowledge and Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience 
    • Knowledge of the insurance industry with experience in underwriting or claims desirable.  
    • Experience of working with embedded insurance products, a benefit 
    • Professional insurance, finance or accounting qualifications a benefit, although not essential.  
    • Strong analytical skills – ability to “think outside the box” 
    • Knowledge of insurance regulatory landscapes. 
    • Builds & maintains positive relationships within the team, cross-functionally and with external stakeholders. 
    • Holds self- accountable for insuring results are achieved, while prioritising tasks based on relative importance and urgency. 
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects & drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment. 
    • Demonstrates excellent communication skills. 
    • Exhibits enthusiasm, positive professional attitude, integrity and reliability.  
    • Commercial savviness – solid understanding and experience setting KPIs for product and testing success.   
    • Detail-oriented – great organizational skills, with the ability to capture all elements of requirements and scenarios.
