The Senior Director of Strategic Alliances & Entertainment is responsible for driving revenue via brand partnership programs from corporations utilizing Caruso property assets as well as developing long-term strategic alliances with large brand partners.

Essential job functions and responsibilities

    • Generate revenue through sales of advertising, sponsorship, and strategic alliances programs across Caruso properties
    • Meet a revenue target in new business for this position
    • Create and implement effective sponsorship and advertising promotions for brand partners and their agencies
    • Develop ideas and draft proposals that lead to winning engagements
    • Negotiate and execute contract deliverables
    • Develop and build relationships with marketing, experiential, PR, advertising and OOH media agencies 
    • Manage client promotions and events to make sure they are successfully implemented and well executed
    • Prospect for new clients and sponsors that align with the Caruso brand (cold call, emails, networking events, property tours, etc.)
    • Build and maintain excellent, cooperative relationships both internally and externally with clients, staff, vendors, and senior executives
    • Develop annual plans and budgets for respective categories

Qualifications required

    • 4-7 years marketing/media/advertising experience in a selling capacity
    • College degree required
    • Thorough depth of knowledge with effective packaging of sponsorship inventory for 5- and 7-figure partnerships
    • Knowledge of brand positioning
    • Knowledge of out-of-home advertising
    • Knowledge of the shopping center business and real estate asset management
    • Ability to direct, lead and manage multiple clients, support staff & vendors
    • Experienced negotiation and sales closing skills
    • Creative conceptualizing of new events and programs for large brands
    • Ability to create and present proposals to all types of audiences
    • Ability to provide excellent customer service and uphold the high standards of Caruso brand

Physical demands and work environment

    • Must be able to travel as needed for client & agency meetings
    • Excellent vision, hearing and clear speech
    • Able to stand for 8-12 hours at an event/promotion
    • Able to work in front of a computer for eight hours 
    • Must be able to lift light objects (15 pounds)

Equipment and software skills needed:

    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Keynote)
    • CRM/Sales Force
    • Various lead-generation programs

Performance standards:

    • Meet or exceed annual individual sales goal
    • Positive contribution to overall measurable department revenue goals
