Senior Graphic Designer, Brand Marketing

The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for the concept, design and development of digital, social and print marketing, and will be a hands-on contributor that executes concepts and visual direction of Creative and Art Director. Responsible for creating visual assets across all platforms and channels with oversight of daily production work, as a member of the creative team.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

    • Design and produce visual marketing materials, including but not limited to event collateral, invitations, banners, signage, brochures, digital and print advertising, web and email assets, presentation decks, etc. that adhere to existing Caruso and property brand guidelines
    • Create assets for blogs and social media platforms
    • Develop visuals for seasonal marketing campaigns for owned and paid channels that are cohesive across all assets based on marketing briefs and objectives
    • Create and oversee website landing page designs, other site imagery and content, marketing creative and layouts, all from user-centric perspective
    • Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure brand consistency and unified direction
    • Apply disciplined messaging, hierarchy and prioritization within creative to drive targeted consumer behavior to achieve business objectives
    • Design using industry best practices within the standards and parameters of brand to ensure deliverables represent project goals and brand positioning
    • Lead design and wireframe reviews proposing design solutions to increase engagement, loyalty and conversion
    • Guide multiple projects simultaneously from concept to execution in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment 
    • Proof graphics, illustrations and associated copy with deliberation to ensure accuracy
    • Participate in project kick-off meetings and regular status meetings with project leaders and brand marketing leadership
    • Create, manage and maintain design files, including stock and custom-created graphics, illustrations and logos
    • Utilize internal tracking systems and procedures

Qualifications required:

    • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience at a top in-house studio or agency in a designer role or similar
    • Proven work experience in digital marketing, with experience in digital agency or in-house design department, preferably with fashion or beauty + event background
    • Strong luxury brand creative aesthetic with passion for and knowledge of beauty and fashion trends and premium brand experiences, as well as understanding of online consumer behavior
    • Extensive design portfolio that shows strong conceptual thinking, elevated and sophisticated graphic design execution skills, strong visual experience, storytelling, e-commerce and interactive design
    • Skilled in design guiding consumer to achieve conversion goals
    • Experience in designing for paid social advertising and display banners
    • Experience using wireframing techniques to show navigation, flow and interaction details
    • Expert understanding of utilizing and incorporating brand guidelines
    • Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and current design programs
    • Knowledge of photography or video editing is a plus
    • Expert knowledge of complex page layout production, color and photo correction and typography for print and digital media
    • Expert knowledge of printing technologies and procedures, including writing print specs, requesting quotes and setting up print-ready files
    • Exceptional communication skills to support professional exchanges in brainstorming sessions involving cross-functional and multi-level management teams
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and consistently demonstrate a high level of organization

    • Passionate about content and storytelling
    • Passionate about new marketing technologies, trends in mobile, web, social, digital and other emerging technologies and best practices
    • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results
    • Understand brand voice and tone and how they translate to various audiences
    • Be a self-starter with a sense of urgency, follow up and attention to detail


    • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design or Visual Communications
