Position Overview 
The Administrative Assistant will help support and drive the administrative process that supports Casdin’s Therapeutics Research team. This role supports the Director of Therapeutics Research and works closely with the rest of the Therapeutics team as well as the broader research effort.

The successful candidate should have exceptional communication and organizational skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence. They should commit to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and a no-task-too-small approach to the work. Responsibilities

    • Manage dynamic calendars with real time shifting priorities while maintaining a high degree of organization and effective communication, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency. 
    • Cultivate and manage a well run process to ensure information is tracked, the Pending Report is updated, CRM is maintained, and materials are organized to help maintain relationships.  Partner with the Director of Therapeutics Research to define an operating system that will scale as the team grows.
    • Ability to be resourceful and efficient when seeking out information to solve problems and/or resolve ambiguous situations.
    • Act as liaison for the Therapeutics team with the rest of the research team and the broader Casdin team as well as external partners.
    • Coordinate travel including but not limited to conference registration, air/hotel bookings, and all related meeting logistics.  Greet guests to the office creating a welcoming and friendly environment.
    • Thoughtfully engage with internal/external stakeholders, to facilitate exceptional, high quality engagement experiences.
    • Curious nature, driven to find details and connect the dots of information and relationships between people, projects, and companies.

Requirements/Qualifications

    • 2+ years of work experience in a fast-paced corporate environment. Financial services experience preferred.
    • Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree. 
    • Experience managing a high-volume and dynamic calendar for a senior member of an organization.
    • Exceptional communication and organizational skills with a commitment to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and a no-task-too-small approach.
    • Ease with people, underpinned by strong emotional intelligence to build trusted relationships at all levels of the firm.
    • An ability to seek out information, driven to continually learn with a resourceful and self-starter mindset.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to seek out information with guidance from others.
    • Approaches the role consistently, earning the trust of their colleagues by being reliable on a daily basis.
    • Able to take direction and execute tasks while proactively thinking about bottlenecks before they occur.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with CRM’s,  databases, and similar platforms for information management.
