As the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at Caseware, you will be responsible for supporting various budget owners/executives from a planning and reporting perspective. In addition, in this individual contributor role, you will be working closely with internal business units to consolidate total Global Caseware entities. Our ideal candidate is a CPA with experience in Consolidation reporting, and creating Executive decks and has the ability to operate at a higher altitude while communicating the story of our financial results and outlook and has advanced Excel skills. This is a highly dynamic role where a proactive, self-motivated individual that can drive continuous improvement and take full ownership of their responsibilities will thrive. 

❗Canadian CPA is a hard requirement for this role.
❗Please note, that this role is hybrid. The successful candidate will be working from the office 3 days a week - Tue/Wed/Th. The head office is located at 351 King St E., Toronto, ON

Budget, Reporting, Forecasting:

    • Consolidate annual budget and monthly forecast cycle while ensuring models are up-to-date and accurate
    • Produce consolidated key KPI metrics  and assist in the development of standardized reporting templates
    • Build budgets and rolling forecasts through robust predictive modelling based on metrics specific to business needs including interdependencies
    • Development of departmental, corporate and executive dashboards
    • Act as a key point of contact and develop strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, as well as facilitate improvements in their experiences with critical processes (budget, forecast, month end, etc.).
    • Support annual planning process as a key member of the Planning Team
    • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year results, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Improve processes to lessen manual reports and work with peers to ensure the right data is being tracked.
    • Scale reporting to reflect evolving needs of the business/parent company

Analysis:

    • Actively monitor performance; proactively communicate results and potential risks to the business
    • Conduct actual vs. forecast/budget financial variance analysis on monthly basis with meaningful insights to management to support decision-making, help understand financial implications of the rolling forecast, and enable business partners to manage their respective budgets
    • Take the initiative and ownership to identify areas of opportunity/improvement with data-driven commentary and recommendations

What you will bring:

    • 5 to 7 years of FP&A experience and holds a CPA designation
    • Experience in consolidation reporting is a must
    • Growth mindset and proven track record of execution
    • Expert-level MS Excel skills, with experience analyzing large quantities of complex data
    • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
    • Excellent communication skills – presenting the appropriate level of detail for decision-making, catered to the audience
    • Attention to detail and high level of diligence
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, changing environment
    • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills – build relationships among peers and others in the business and become a valuable business partner
    • Driven by outcomes, with an ability to meet challenging deadlines and changing requirements
    • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules
    • Prior experience working with Netsuite and Salesforce is considered an asset
    • Prior experience in Tableau is considered an asset
