Your Mission:
The Talent Acquisition Partner plays a critical role in helping the Chinese American Service League (CASL) attract and retain top talent to support our community-focused initiatives. This position is responsible for full-cycle recruitment across a wide range of roles—from frontline positions to leadership—ensuring CASL continues to build a workforce reflective of its values of inclusivity, empowerment, and collaboration.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Partner supports the development and execution of CASL’s recruitment strategy with a strong emphasis on sourcing, stakeholder collaboration, and process improvement. The role works cross-functionally to understand departmental workforce needs, with an awareness of succession planning considerations, while delivering a seamless, human-centric candidate experience. In addition, the Talent Acquisition Partner contributes to building scalable talent acquisition systems, workflows, and practices that align with CASL’s operational goals and the ongoing success of its impactful programs.

What You’ll Impact
As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will contribute to a positive internal culture by elevating the hiring experience and modeling a people-first approach that fosters equity, transparency, and care. You will serve as a trusted partner to hiring managers, offering insights, tools, and support to guide them through a consistent and effective hiring process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for a range of roles, including frontline positions and specialized leadership roles.
- Partner with the Director of HR and hiring managers to assess team needs, succession plans, and role evolution, ensuring proactive recruitment strategies.
- Take ownership of sourcing efforts, including passive outreach and pipeline development, especially for hard-to-fill or language-specific roles.
- Champion a human-centric candidate experience that reflects CASL’s mission and values.
- Manage and maintain data accuracy in Lever (ATS), generating recruitment metrics and insights to guide continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and support interview logistics, hiring team collaboration, and candidate communication.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines through community relationships, outreach events, and targeted campaigns.
- Support the ongoing development of scalable recruiting tools, templates, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with the Director of HR to streamline workflows using Asana and ensure aligned recruitment priorities across the agency.
- Adapt to evolving organizational needs with flexibility and resourcefulness.
Must Haves - To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Three to four years of experience in full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition with a focus on sourcing, stakeholder engagement, and candidate experience.
- Associate degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across diverse teams.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive mindset, excited to build and improve processes while delivering results.
- Familiarity with Lever or other ATS platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized and focused while navigating shifting priorities in a dynamic setting.
- Deep alignment with CASL’s values and a passion for mission-driven work.

- Experience with Asana or other task/project management tools.
- Previous experience in staffing, agency recruiting, or high-volume environments strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods, with occasional movement around the office. Occasionally moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
Environment and Scheduling:
- Standard business hours, Monday through Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm), with flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary.
- Location: The successful candidate will be based in the Chicagoland area and have the ability to be onsite at our Chinatown, Chicago location as needed for team meetings and company events. While this role offers remote work flexibility within the region, proximity to Chicago is essential for in-person engagement as required.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a salary range of $65,000 - $67,000 annually, reflective of experience and qualifications.
