Job Overview
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Barcelona team on a 6-month temporary contract to provide cover during team leave. This role will play a key part in supporting group finance activities across multiple entities and geographies, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage tax compliance processes across Spain, Switzerland, and the US
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations for all entities
- Oversee the finance inbox and ensure timely responses
- Manage regular payment runs
- Support accounts payable and complete bank reconciliations
- Prepare and issue invoices
- Post prepayments and accruals
- Maintain accounting for fixed and intangible assets
- Take ownership of expense accounting across group entities
- Update and report weekly cash balances
- Handle ad-hoc finance tasks as required
Qualifications and requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and multi-entity finance operations
- Experience with international tax compliance (Spain, Switzerland, US desirable)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
- Fluency in English and a high level of Spanish are required
Lines of communication
The Title reports to the Head of Finance The Title communicates with the other Financial Accountant and occasionally the CFO
Working conditions
Temporary Contract of 6-months duration. Minimum 100% availability as an employee of Spotlio Spain SL. Willingness to work outside office hours with notice.
