Position Summary
Are you ready to start a career in the electrical trade? Our Electrical Apprentice Program is designed to develop the next generation of skilled electricians through a structured, multi-year, hands-on learning experience. By applying to this position, you are applying to the role of an Electrical Apprentice and requesting consideration for enrollment in the upcoming semester of our Registered Apprenticeship Program.
This program is offered on a first come, first serve basis with limited availability each semester. Additionally, applicants must have successfully completed their 90-day new hire probationary period to be eligible for enrollment consideration.
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced Journeymen and Foremen while progressively advancing your skills in commercial and industrial electrical systems. The apprenticeship includes four structured levels of learning and field experience, with increasing responsibility and pay at each level
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a variety of electrical and general labor tasks.
- Handle materials and maintain clean job sites.
- Assist with site preparation, wire pulling, terminations, and clean-up.
- Review and understand blueprints and electrical diagrams.
- Safely operate tools and equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including underground and rough-in installations.
- Support journeyman electricians with complex tasks.
- Promote and maintain a "Safety First" workspace.
- Maintain a commitment to 40-hour work weeks and uphold workplace safety standards.
Program Goals & Progression
- Year 1:
- Develop basic electrical skills and safe work habits.
- Begin apprenticeship coursework.
- Year 2:
- Expand knowledge of blueprints, wire-pulling, and terminations.
- Apply CCE-U second-year education to the job site.
- Year 3:
- Demonstrate proficiency in complex tasks and installations.
- Develop leadership capabilities for future growth.
- Year 4:
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of electrical systems.
- Assist in setting and assembling electrical service sections and transformers.
- Apply knowledge of code compliance.
- Prepare for program completion and career advancement.

Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Desire to enroll in a registered electrical apprenticeship program.
- Employees must complete their 90-day new hire probationary period to be considered for enrollment in the upcoming semester.
- Progression through the program will require completion of OSHA 10 certification and yearly educational milestones.
$18 - $25 an hour
Starting at $18/hour with progression opportunities up to $25/hour based on experience, program level, and demonstrated skills.
