Position Title: Human Services Planner I
Salary: $80,000 plus benefits

Overview:
The CDC Foundation is seeking a Human Services Planner I assigned to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ State Center for Health Statistics. This role serves in a professional and analytical consultative capacity, providing staff assistance in planning human service programs in several functional program areas serving distinct and varied client populations. Work involves designing and conducting projects/ studies in assigned areas which are characterized by a variety of program services linked through either integrated or diverse service delivery systems. Position serves as a planner, assisting with program planning and data collection and analysis.
An ideal candidate for this role has juggled multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintains a high level of professionalism, worked on system design and business process analysis, worked directly or indirectly on research data requests, conducted complex data analysis using relevant analytical software (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, or Excel), and crafts timely communications to and from multiple stakeholders, always taking the stakeholders’ needs into account. The candidate will support priority projects and actions. This position provides an excellent opportunity to improve organizational, project management, and data analysis skills, in addition to building a strong knowledge base about work with state and local health jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in public service administration, psychology, sociology, statistics, information technology, or a human service programmatic field, from an appropriately accredited institution.
•Experience working on system and workflow design and implementation through the use of technology.
•Experience using a customer relationship management system and/or Microsoft Power Platform (i.e., PowerAutomate, PowerBI, etc.).
•Strong analytical, data analysis, statistics, and presentation skills to synthesize, comprehend, and recapitulate complex information.
•Past experiences conducting probabilistic data linkages with relevant software (e.g., Match*Pro).
•Strong writing and communications skills.
•Demonstrated project management, organization and planning skills applied in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
•Strong self-direction and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with many teams and organizations on a diverse set of topics.
•Experience working with diverse stakeholders, demonstrating customer service and servant leadership.
•Demonstrated ability to work well independently and supporting a team.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple competing priorities.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
•Create a data request management system to track all SCHS data requests supported by a technological solution.
•Coordinate and track data requests from researchers.
•Conduct probabilistic data linkages of Central Cancer Registry data.
•Communicate effectively with professional and administrative personnel.
•Provide administrative and analytical support for case escalations.
•Attend key meetings and track follow up items.
•Assist in the establishment of goals, objectives, and timelines for key cross functional programs and initiatives that advance the Department’s strategic plan.
•Serve as a liaison between programs involved in a special project or strategic initiative.

This role is involved in a dynamic public health program. As such, roles and responsibilities are subject to change as situations evolve. Roles and responsibilities listed above may be expanded upon or updated to match priorities and needs, once written approval is received by both the CDC Foundation and North Carolina in order to best support the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services in their public health programming.
This position is currently an onsite position. CDC Foundation retains the right to make adjustments to this as required.
