The CDC Foundation’s Workforce Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the CDC Foundation Public Partnerships (PP) team in designing and organization a marketing campaign for CDC Foundation staffing services. The Marketing Specialist works directly with the Advancement PP and Internal Operations teams to understand market trends and target audiences, develop communications content and marketing materials and support conference expositions and speaking event preparation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and able to effectively manage multiple priority projects in a fast-paced environment. Specifically, the Marketing Specialist works closely with the Advancement team to understand target audience and develop key marketing strategies and materials to generate portfolio growth. The Marketing Specialist will support the marketing campaign strategy and assist with planned communications to potential partners.
This is a limited term position and is slated to end on 06/30/26
Salary Range: $75K-85K
Duties and Responsibilities
- In coordination with the Workforce Research Analyst, conduct market research on identified target audiences to understand priorities and design marketing strategy accordingly.
- Support the design and execution of a communications/marketing campaign, including the development of digital and print marketing materials.
- Ensure consistent CDC Foundation brand messaging and identity across all marketing channels. Coordinate with CDC Foundation Communications team to develop and maintain brand guidelines and marketing collateral.
- Develop and implement email marketing strategies to engage and retain existing partners.
- In partnership with Research Analyst and Director of Business Development, analyze Salesforce CRM data to identify opportunities for partner engagement and portfolio growth.
- Track conferences and major meeting events for registration deadlines and strategic planning purposes. Coordinate registration, logistics and marketing collateral for planned conferences.
- Work closely with Advancement, Internal Operations and Communications to align marketing strategies with team capacity and goals.
- Generate and present reports on the performance of marketing activities, using data to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies. Commit to continuous improvement based on performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of three years marketing experience, preferably for a non-profit/government organization.
- Proven track record in developing and executing marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce NPSP or other constituent relationship management systems, as well as email marketing software and tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite graphic design tools like InDesign and Photoshop, as well as Google Analytics.
- Experience developing marketing campaigns for local and state government and/or non-profit target audiences preferred. Develop, write and edit content for the appropriate channels, including case statements, one pagers, print, email, selected website pages and other materials.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret market research data and report on campaign effectiveness.
- Creative thinking to develop innovative marketing campaigns to reach public sector audiences.
- Results-oriented, team player, collaborative and self-motivated. Able to work with multiple departments to propel the mission forward through innovation and initiative.
- Flexibility with a proven ability to handle changing business needs, multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail. Accountability for meeting goals, objectives and deadlines with a proactive attitude and approach to work.
