Life as a Senior Business Analyst at CES:
City Electric is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Foundation Domain - Supply Chain Logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders, gather and analyze requirements, and facilitate communication between business units and the development team. This position requires a strong understanding of software development processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable tasks for the development team.

Our global IT team is experiencing an exciting evolution as we look to return better value to our business colleagues and to increase our customer service. We will accomplish this by expanding our supply chain capabilities and enhancing our systems across the organization. We have managed to maintain an agile and nimble culture while being a large company through embracing our roots as a private, family-owned organization.

Your Objectives:

    • Collaborate on projects related to Supply Chain applications, including Warehouse Management, Carrier Management, and Manufacturing, to ensure these systems meet business requirements and drive efficiency.
    • A high performer who can deliver tangible value through defining, scoping and investigating business initiatives.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Support the documentation, gathering, and management of business requirements to ensure that they align with project goals and stakeholder needs.
    • In collaboration with the delivery team, help to remove any blockers and support the momentum of delivery.
    • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business and technology functions to enable effective decision-making.
    • Utilizes strong communication skills to be a conduit for technical and non-technical teams.
    • Contributes to the standardization of business analysis deliverables and knowledge sharing.
    • Assess impacts of change and validate the cost/benefit of initiatives. 

Key Skills & Experience:

    • 5+ years of Experience working as an IT Business Analyst, including eliciting customer needs, breaking down complex information, and translating it into actionable requirements.
    • Significant experience working with Supply Chain applications, including Warehouse Management, Carrier Management, and Manufacturing, to optimize and enhance these critical systems.
    • Proven ability to gather, document, and manage business requirements effectively, ensuring clarity and alignment with project objectives.
    • Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies for performing business analysis.
    • Proven communication, presentation, negotiation, and collaboration skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
    • Proficient in stakeholder management and facilitation across various departments to drive successful outcomes.
    • Skilled in modeling business processes and identifying opportunities for valuable improvements.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently while working collaboratively with team members.
    • Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Desired Skills & Experience:

    • Experience working in supply chain, wholesale, or related industries
    • Experience of working globally across different time zones 
    • Awareness and appreciation of Cultural differences across the UK & USA 
    • Experience working with Domain Driven Design 
    • Recognized business analysis qualification. (E.g., BCS BA Diploma) 
    • People leadership experience

    • Screening call with Talent Acquisition Partner (30 minutes)
    • Microsoft Teams Video Interview with our Global Business Analysis Practice Lead (60 minutes)
    • Microsoft Teams Video Interview with our Global IT Delivery Director and additional stakeholders (60 minutes)
