Summary:
As a Business Analyst at City IT, you will play a key role in bridging complex business needs with technology solutions. You’ll work closely with Delivery Leads, Architects, and global cross-functional teams to shape and deliver critical, high-impact projects that evolve and support our business.
Our Business Analysts are embedded in cross-functional IT teams and act as trusted partners, ensuring that business goals are clearly defined and successfully delivered. You'll focus on delivering value, improving outcomes, and solving real business problems through thoughtful analysis and collaboration.

Essential Job Functions:
- You will be responsible for identifying and understanding the complex needs and wants of the business, colleagues and stakeholders globally.
- You will then translate the business needs into requirements and share in refinement with the development team; Delivery leads, Architects, Developers and testers.
- Working with the Delivery lead and Architect you will communicate plans and roadmaps ensuring what has been identified is successfully delivered by defining outcomes and adding value to our stakeholders and colleagues.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Business Analysis Practice through the ability to document and future proof our technology and processes at City.
- Support Business Analysis maturity within the global organization enhancing your Community of Practice.
- As part of the IT function you will be building relationships with the business and working in agile teams.
Education/Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in a professional environment.
- Proven track record of aligning business processes with IT solutions and delivering successful projects.
- Hands-on experience working with various software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
- Proficient in using industry-standard tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience contributing to digital technology initiatives, with a preference for candidates who have supported digital transformation or modernization projects.

- Skilled in gathering, owning, and managing business requirements through to successful implementation.
- Adept at leading collaborative workshops and driving consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to influence change and deliver business value through process and systems improvements.
- Flexible and adaptable mindset with a pragmatic approach to methodology selection and project delivery.
