About the Role:

We’re looking for a Software Engineer with experience in Delphi to help support and modernise our core business systems. You’ll be working on applications that play a central role in how we operate day-to-day, maintaining existing functionality while helping to improve and evolve the platform over time.

This is a hands-on role focused on problem-solving and practical delivery. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to design, build and maintain software that’s reliable, well-documented and ready for what’s next.

What You’ll Do:

    • Design, develop and maintain software applications using Delphi (and SAP SQL Anywhere)
    • Lead the re-engineering of legacy systems into scalable, maintainable solutions
    • Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and engineers across teams to define and implement improvements
    • Write unit tests and debug applications to ensure stability and performance
    • Document your work and contribute to shared technical knowledge
    • Review code, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering best practices

Must Have Skills and Experience:

    • Proven experience developing with Delphi in a commercial environment
    • Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (ideally SAP SQL Anywhere)
    • Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
    • Ability to work independently in a remote-first setup
    • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Beneficial:

    • Background in mentoring or technical leadership
    • Familiarity with Agile ways of working
    • Broader programming experience outside of Delphi
