POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a hands-on technical role. This position requires a resource with proven experience and knowledge of data warehousing and IBM Cognos business intelligence, with emphasis on data architecture, sourcing, reporting and analytics through the entire project lifecycle. The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer will play a key role in the architecture, delivery and governance of reporting and data delivery.
• Design, develop, and support Cognos Analytics content including reports, packages and dashboards
• Design and support Cognos Analytics portal and Reporting
• Develop Cognos Framework Manager model adjustments to accommodate new and existing business requirements
• Work with cross-functional team members to recommend technical solutions to business issues and/or system issues
• Assists in making technical recommendations for more efficient troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation
• Provides assistance and routine consultation to internal business users of applications
• Works with Business Analyst/Systems Analyst to estimate new system issue resolution or package implementation efforts
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees
• Ability to communicate with IBM Cloud Support
KEY COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS, MIS or related field of study
• Cognos Analytics
• Excellent attention to detail, patience, and a positive, customer centric attitude.
• Report Studio, Framework Manager, and Transformer
• Microsoft SQL Server
• 3 or more years of experience with development using IBM Cognos Report Studio and Framework Manager.
• Strong knowledge of structured query language (SQL).
• Excellent Excel skills
• Analytic skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data through complex analysis
