The Opportunity...
Centerfield is looking for a talented Marketing Data Analyst to join our team! This position provides an excellent opportunity to leverage data, analytics, and performance metrics to drive revenue and profit for Centerfield within the Home Services Division. This person will be generating and automating reports to analyze digital marketing performance across both advertisers and affiliates, and aiding in administering affiliate tracking tools for our Home Services Affiliate team.

Your core responsibilities will be translating data into actionable insights for the Affiliate team, as well as generating and automating visual reports and dashboards for use across the business. You will also run predictive analyses and modeling to provide insights and recommendations for the client success, media buying, finance, and sales teams. How You'll Contribute...

    • Operate as a member of the Home Services team, acting as a subject matter expert, performing regular and ad-hoc analyses as business requirements dictate; while actively monitoring and reporting on program performance daily, developing reporting and insights capabilities and establishing processes to effectively assess progress and identify opportunities in real-time
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across teams (client success, finance, media, sales, product, AdOps, etc.) to gather requirements and criteria for effective data analysis, reporting, and dashboards
    • Create, enhance, maintain, and automate reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights and help relevant teams make faster and better decisions
    • Synthesize and analyze affiliate performance and campaign-specific data to provide insights to the Home Services team – you will be an active contributor to business strategy and recommendations by translating data into digestible and highly visual applications that elevate analytics into actionable information
    • Identify upsell, pivot and optimization opportunities for the Affiliate team by modeling "what-if" scenarios and analyzing various payment models for profitability, deep diving into campaign and product level performance analytics to uncover deficits and drive growth
    • Dig into channel level performance data to drive advertiser- and/or affiliate-specific testing, optimization and analysis to identify key levers and opportunities for improvement
    • Communicate performance readouts to key stakeholders and cross functional teams to promote business-wide understanding of strategy, ROI and future opportunities
    • Have ownership stake in administration of a third party Affiliate tracking and reporting platform, including ongoing front end maintenance, liaising with technology teams for back end proficiencies and ensuring Affiliates always have the necessary visibility into their campaign performance and related earnings
    • Take a proactive role in continuously monitoring affiliate account activity, evaluating performance metrics (and profitability), recommending innovative strategies to boost revenue generation and sales volume
    • Create and automate reports in Tableau (and related BI tools) and Excel, utilizing advanced formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, as needed
    • Create data download processes through Tableau workbooks and SQL databases using tools such as python, SQL, and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
    • Create and interpret charts and graphs to identify trends in data and provide insights to the Home Services team
    • Be proficient in data modeling and predictive forecasting to most accurately scale business growth
    • Provide training and support to users (both internal and external) on proper use of reports and dashboards
    • Continuously seek ways to improve data reporting and analytical processes, staying updated and well-versed with the latest trends, tools and best practices in marketing analytics.

What We're Looking For...

    • 2+ years of experience with performance marketing reporting and data analysis (preferably in the affiliate space)
    • Highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for meeting and exceeding objectives
    • Collaborative team player, yet comfortable working independently to solve problems and lead projects
    • Experience with performance marketing KPIs (CPC/PPC/CTR/CPA, etc.) and a thorough understanding of the digital media landscape, including hands-on experience with various marketing distribution channels (search, social, email, display, etc.)
    • Strong digital analytics experience (site analytics, media projections, performance results, etc.)
    • Must have strong Tableau data manipulation and visualization skills, as well as experience with 3rd party media and/or affiliate tracking platforms
    • Ability to understand unstructured business problems and translate into actionable insights
    • Advanced understanding of Python, SQL, and VBA, with high-level proficiency in MS Excel – you view yourself as an “Excel Master”
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a unique ability to effectively illustrate and communicate quantitative findings with non-technical team members
    • Strong analytical skills (ability to confidently identify data anomalies, assess/calculate risks, and escalate issues)
    • Significant comfort level with economic principles and profit modeling
    • Able to work with a high degree of accuracy and incredible attention to detail
    • Highly organized, with an innate ability to prioritize and deliver in a high-pressure environment
