Role Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, the Senior Manager, Packaging Engineer is an accomplished expert in all aspects of packaging engineering for pharmaceutical drugs. This individual will be responsible for creating and implementing the strategy for Commercial packaging design and integrity of our future launches as well as guidance on Clinical prospects. Key Responsibilities

    • Subject matter expert on all projects related to Cerevel’s Commercial and Clinical packaging solutions
    • Label and packaging development and qualification (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary) for various temperature profiles and impact to product from transport and movement of materials across the supply chain
    • Develop testing strategies and protocol documentation
    • Lead qualification activities for product labeling and packaging that requires temperature control throughout various supply lanes
    • Work with vendors to optimize packaging and labeling solutions based on Cerevel’s requirements
    • Working with Cerevel’s vendors to oversee packaging and labeling validation and manufacturing activities
    • Primary point of contact with Cerevel’s external vendors during commercial packaging setup and through commercialization
    • Communicate with internal stakeholders to monitor project timelines, status to ensure project deliverables are met in support of regulatory filing deadlines
    • Coordinate material procurement and testing oversight
    • Generate reports based on resulting test data
    • Knowledge of both Commercial and Clinical packaging requirements

Required Qualifications

    • 8 plus years of experience relating to labeling and packaging within the medical industry
    • Experience relating to GDP and GMP and Quality management systems
    • Experience in shipping qualifications and set up
    • Independent and cross functional skills as well as close work with external vendors
    • Proven track record working in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Education

    • BS degree in Packaging or other Engineering discipline
