Role Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Clinical Supplies, the Manager, Import/Export and Logistics is an accomplished expert in import-export, logistics, and inventory management. This individual will be responsible for the logistics of moving API, DP, FG, and other materials across the globe to allow Cerevel to meet Clinical, launch and Commercial demand.
This individual will be contributing to developing processes for import-export of critical materials, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely product delivery in accordance with Customs and other applicable governmental agencies regulations.

Key Responsibiltiies
- Manage daily logistics and import-export operational activities to ensure shipments of API, DP, and other materials are processed timely and properly to ensure supply continuity
- Direct all logistics, international and domestic shipping. Oversee the full lifecycle of all shipments
- Work with internal teams and external brokers to ensure seamless movement of all products through customs
- Develop and implement procedures and work instructions for Import and Export Operational activities
- Ensure Cerevel import-export activities are properly and timely processed, according to policies and procedures, and in accordance with Customs and other applicable governmental agencies regulations
- Ensure compliance and adherence to country specific import-export regulations, including logistics, customs clearance, and delivery cycle times. This includes generating shipping documentation and working closely with the requester on specifics to imports or exports
- Conduct post-entry reviews ensuring transactions comply with US import regulations
- Develop effective KPI measurable indicators for all aspects of global logistics, distribution and import-export operational activities such as volume, type of entries, duties and transportation costs, and other available metrics
- Establish and manage relationship of Supply Chain external partners, in particular carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers. Ensure providers maintain within a satisfactory KPIs level
- Create, maintain, and manage a database all international product data: Country of Origin, Harmonized Tariff Codes, Licenses & Permits, FDA product codes, INDs, etc.
- Support implementation and management of internal process for initiating and executing shipping requests in an organized and compliant manner
- Capture all physical product movements in Oracle Supply Chain Management & Manufacturing (SCM) system as close to real time as possible. Author procedures and work instructions as appropriate to ensure Oracle SCM is the single source of true inventory
- Mange item and lot creation in Oracle SCM
- Define the import-export and logistics processes and systems for efficient, robust clinical and commercial supply at Cerevel
- Lead/support any other projects and/or process improvement initiatives to further develop Cerevel’s supply chain
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics, import-export, and trade compliance within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding and experience with international trade compliance laws and regulations including but not limited to, imports, exports, economic sanctions, Harmonization Tariff system (HTS), country of origin, boycott laws and Free Trade Agreements
- Familiarity with working with ERP/WMS systems which support inventory managemen.t activities
- Experience in managing external partners, such as custom brokers and freight forwarders, and ensuring robust supply and inventory control
- Deep experience in Regulatory and Quality requirements governing compliant distribution of clinical and commercial pharmaceuticals
- Proven track record working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with both clinical and commercial pharmaceuticals shipments
- Experience with import-export of controlled drugs
Education
- BS or greater in a relevant field
