The Analytics Engineer/Software Engineer at CertifID will join a scaling engineering team. The mission of this role is to develop, support, and enhance our Data Platform, business intelligence tools, analytics tools, and third-party integrations that consume or contribute to our data. This individual will own and drive the Data Platform, will be embedded in the product eng team, and will work cross-functionally with BI stakeholders, reporting stakeholders, and customer success stakeholders.We are searching for a highly talented and driven individual who will move gracefully through a high-growth and fast paced environment and is hungry to make a direct impact on CertifID’s positioning in the market.

This role would be a founding member of our data and analytics team, who will help us deliver insights while also leading us in building the future of how we organize and use data. This person will bring experience in software development, data modeling and analysis experience, and ideally have experience in analytics and reporting. You will work alongside seasoned and mission driven engineers with high standards and grit, whom have a deep knowledge of C#, .NET, Javascript, and Vue.js

Responsibilities

    • Define, build, and manage trusted and scalable data models to enable reporting and analytics that power our decisions and discovery
    • Grow the data platform and unify analytics tools to fully replace legacy Admin panel reporting and ad-hoc reporting
    • Implement data pipelines, data transformations, and data stores that can be the source of truth for our billing, sales, and customer success tools
    • Educate core stakeholders on analytics tooling and how to operationalize data models
    • Be intentional in your efforts of building extraordinary, efficient and scalable reporting and analytics
    • Follow best practices to write high-quality, secure, maintainable, scalable, testable, and efficient code
    • Contribute to a culture of code quality, documentation, and thoughtful tradeoffs
    • Leverage a self-starter mindset by taking an opportunity or insight and building out a proof-of-concept to validate with business stakeholders 
    • Be a flexible contributor, learning new skills as required and solving a wide variety of challenges in different areas

What we are looking for

    • 3+ years of professional industry experience in business intelligence, data engineering/architecture, or analytics engineering, and working with self-service BI tools 
    • You are a software engineer who can run thorough analysis, or an analyst who can deliver production-ready code
    • Applied data modeling and analysis experience, including SQL or other similar query language
    • You understand startup reporting and analytics needs, and have some experience generating revenue, usage, or similar reports for SaaS customers
    • You have coding experience in a production environment, hands-on experience developing, implementing, and maintaining  production quality software systems
    • Strong command of data modeling and warehousing principles, and the ability to build well designed tables that are optimized for analytics   
    • Experience working within a cloud-based infrastructure on data ELTs and data warehouse technology
    • Care and focus on rapid delivery without sacrificing technical quality
    • Bring a sense of ownership, demonstrate craftsmanship, enjoy collaboration, and have the drive to make an impact
