About the role
This is a data research and analysis role for our Security Research and Skyfall teams, helping respond to and prevent scams and fraud in the blockchain communities. You'll be investigating within the blockchain community, identifying/importing/integrating valuable data sources. You will be diving deep into blockchain and documenting the findings in an efficient and effective format. Such information will later be aggregated by various statistics pipelines to form valuable insights. You will also conduct investigations into people and projects as part of the scam detection process. The role will utilize open-source and on-chain analysis to assess scams, risk and fraud, flagging concerning elements. This role requires being “on-call” for certain times of the day/week.. 


    • BS Degree in related fields.
    • Conduct security research on hacks, breaches, and other incidents.
    • Ability to dive deep into an investigation that spans multiple platforms.
    • Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users to ensure that project documents are complete, current, and elaborate and stored appropriately.
    • Transform large amounts of data into compelling visual stories to facilitate analysis and business decision-making.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver on business intelligence needs and contribute to our data analytics platform and maintain data integrity/quality.
    •  Assess the risk profiles of the crypto projects.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience or strong curiosity for intelligence or investigation, ideally in an open-source environment.
    • Conduct security research on hacks, breaches, and other incidents.
    • Competent in Analysis; ideally in open source, blockchain, or intelligence/investigations.
    • Ability to dive deep into an investigation that spans multiple platforms.
    • Be able to write clear reports, and present facts and findings without bias.
    • Familiarity with data science.
    • Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with Data visualization/business intelligence tools.
    • Experience with Python or one programming language for data analysis is a plus but not required.
    • Enthusiasm to the best and use this to be open minded enough to share new ideas.
    • Exceptionally analytical and detail-oriented.

Target annual salary for this role performed in the US is $60,000 - $90,000.

The exact compensation at which this job is filled will be determined by the skills and experience of qualified candidates.
