The Role:
 
The Director of Learning and Development will lead our strategic talent development, learning, and employee experience by designing and deploying initiatives that enable and support our teams and leaders to achieve key short-term and long-term business objectives. You are focused on supporting our highest priority resource - our employees and driving a best-in-class talent development and employee experience model.

This role reports into the VP of Human Resources and works in close collaboration cross-functionally with CFGI senior leadership team. The role will drive employee experience and engagement that threads across the lifecycle of the employee and directly bridges with the learning and development and talent development strategies to foster an inclusive culture.

In this highly dynamic and visible role, you will be equal parts strategist, builder, program designer, and leader. You will need to roll up your sleeves and be an independent self-starter and innovator while connecting key initiatives directly to the strategic priorities of the business.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
 
·       Develop and execute a learning and development strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives to enhance employee skills, performance, and job satisfaction.
·       Ability to manage multiple projects, programs, and initiatives to ensure overall department success.
·       Serve as a senior learning consultant to senior management to identify training needs and develop scalable solutions that support the growth and development of employees across all levels of the organization.
·       Identify and ensure strategic use of learning technology to ensure efficient delivery, tracking, and reporting of all training and development activities.
·       Develop and report on key learning metrics to demonstrate learning effectiveness.
·       Collaborate with organizational leaders to prepare staff for upcoming changes affecting their roles (career progression).
·       Serve as the central coordinator for seminars, management meetings, and educational programs.
·       Develop and manage certification programs that enhance job skills.
·       Regularly update staff using various communication methods such as meetings, emails, and the intranet, ensuring information accuracy.
·       Partner with HR to develop programs and initiatives that drive engagement and foster a strong culture that reflects our core values and philosophies.
·       Create dynamic training materials using diverse media and teaching methods.
·       Train-the-trainer programs, involving subject matter experts across the organization.
·       Maintain confidentiality of all employee training records and sensitive information.
·       Ensure accurate record keeping for all learning solutions to include any areas that may be subject to external audit.
·       Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in learning and development, employee experience, and DEI to continuously improve and innovate learning programs.
·       Evaluate the effectiveness of talent programs through metrics and feedback, making data-driven decisions to continuously improve and enhance the learning and development experience.
·       Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, ensuring that learning programs and practices promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
·       Drive initiatives that move the needle on improving employee engagement and experience, in partnership with business leadership help enhance a positive, engaged culture that celebrates the interests, talents, and contributions of employees across the company at every level.
 
Education and Experience:
 
·       Bachelor’s degree in education, business communication, or a related field; advanced degree in business is beneficial.
·       Minimum of eight years' experience in learning and development, with at least three to five years in a leadership role. 
·       Professional services organization is strongly preferred.
·       Demonstrated leadership ability, including mentoring and change management.
·       Proven ability to design, develop, and implement strategic learning programs and development initiatives for a largely remote workforce at all levels – frontline, mid- manager, and executive.
·       Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
·       Advanced level of proficiency in designing and implementing learning programs.
·       ATD Certification preferred.
·       Excellent presentation and writing skills.
·       Comprehensive knowledge of training methodologies and tools.
·       Experience managing DEI programs preferred.
