Join the power movement as a Transportation Planner

As a member of the CFS Supply Chain Team you will be responsible for assisting in meeting company objectives through Logistics and Material movement. Your focus will be supporting timely shipping inbound and outbound of CFS goods and materials. You will need to be able to take on project style shipments in a project management role - showing the leadership to propose solutions for stakeholders and customers to enable meeting schedule and cost objectives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a customer-oriented mindset and have the ability to manage a variety of tasks.

What you'll do:

    • Set up and manage international shipments (inbound, outbound) prepare documentation and execute shipments with approved partners
    • Project Management of large shipments projects including schedule, scope and costing exercises, follow up on permits and external requirements for a successful transfer
    • Working with external freight forwarders to negotiate and find best solutions to complex shipping activities, cost savings opportunities
    • Support receiving shipments and dock operations as needed
    • Review and decide the best HTS classifications with the compliance team
    • Obey and enforce CFS Safety guidelines and policies on the loading dock and in the warehouse; correct any unsafe conditions or behaviors while maintaining a clean work environment
    • Ensure compliance with CFS SDS requirements, HAZMAT storage and shipping plans

What we're looking for:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 3+ Years combined experience in Shipping or Logistics field
    • Experience in international shipments, customs requirements
    • Strong computer skills with MS office or G-Suite applications
    • Strong communication and listening skills
    • Inventory & warehousing operational knowledge
    • Domestic & International shipping experience
    • Multimodal transportation experience

Bonus points for:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 2 years experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
    • Experience in start-up or high growth environment
    • Manufacturing/shop floor environment experience
    • Hazmat shipping experience

Must-have requirements:

    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
    • Perform activities such as stopping, typing, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time
    • Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics

$25 - $41 an hour
