CFS’ mission is to enable world-wide clean energy for everyone, creating a sustainable environment for current and future generations. We’ve created a credible path to an operating fusion power plant in 15 years which leverages our novel collaboration with MIT and funding from strategic and financial investors who share our vision. This begins by developing a new class of high-field superconducting magnets that will enable the SPARC tokamak to demonstrate net energy from fusion for the first time. To execute this plan, we are now looking to add talented people to the team who are mission-driven and treat people well; improve our team by adding diverse perspectives & new ways of solving problems; have demonstrated exceptional results through a range of different pursuits; and have skillsets and experience that relate to this role.

Our operation team continues to grow and we are ready to hire our first Logistics Specialist to manage our shipping and receiving function.

This team member will:

    • Manage shipping and receiving operation, including packaging and shipping hardware for outsourcing operations, receiving incoming packages, monitoring them for damage or shipping irregularities, and stocking the shipping/receiving area
    • Perform kitting and kit management, including reporting shortages to supply chain
    • Organize and control inventory processes, including conducting inventory counts and maintaining hardware locations
    • Execute the collection, shipment, tracking, and statusing of materials throughout the CFS facilities
    • Drive the company box truck and operate the company forklift
    • Manage the shipping and receiving inventory ordering and maintain consumable stocking levels

    • Possess excellent judgement and the ability to make and execute on decisions for the holistic betterment of the company with little oversight

    • Exhibit strong customer service skills and an entrepreneurial spirit
    • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with frequent interruptions and distractions
    • Address problems with a positive, creative, collaborative approach, always keeping the customer experience in mind
    • Have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to write concise, logical and grammatically correct business correspondence
    • Have strong relationship building skills, and the ability to interact and work effectively with many levels of personnel and suppliers
    • Have general understanding of enterprise quality system functionality (e.g. ISO 9000, AS9100, TS16949, etc.)
    • Have a working knowledge of ERP systems and MRP logic
    • Experience in a hardware-centered production environment
    • Experience closing out projects
    • Clean driving record
    • Ability to obtain DOT health certificate and CDL license
    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    • Strong computer skills with experience using MS office applications
    • Previous experience with warehouse machinery (i.e. forklift, pallet jacks)
    • Demonstrated skill in using PC with Microsoft Office 
    • High School Diploma/GED 

Additional experience and/or qualifications:

    • Forklift certification preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
