Compliance Program Manager - Education

Palo Alto, CA

We're looking for a Compliance Program Manager to help bring a new personalized learning platform to the globe's generation of students and help advance the potential of humanity.


    • Define the requirements for compliance against relevant standards and laws
    • Author policies for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative organization to ensure compliance
    • Engage with third parties to audit and certify compliance
    • Work with engineers, product managers, operations, and IT to implement policies and to manage risk
    • Monitor and review project progress and timelines
    • Make the best tradeoffs for the organization

Required Qualifications

    • 3+ years external consulting experience
    • 5+ years working in the technology, compliance, or computer security field
    • Experience with audits for at least one of the following controls: ISO 27001, SOC2, NIS, CSA, COBIT, ITIL, FedRAMP
    • Project/Program Management experience
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
    • Knowledge of computer security and common threats
    • Experience working cross-functionally with engineers and IT to implement solutions
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

    • Has successfully completed ISO 27001 certification
    • Has experience with FERPA and other laws related to education
    • Technical background
