Periscope Aviation is hiring a Sr. Electrical Engineer to work on-site in Leesburg, VA, supporting our Unmanned Aerial Vehicle platforms.


    • Analyze and solve engineering problem associated with design, manufacturing/assembly, start-up, operation, and test of UAV sub-systems in house and at customer locations.
    • Troubleshoot, research, and solve problems with a diverse array of systems.
    • Prototype and test component parts and assemblies.
    • Participate in peer reviews, PDRs, CDRs, and other required design reviews.
    • Develop test plans and procedures for electrical subsystems.
    • Perform test and evaluation of component parts and systems.
    • Adhere to company processes for product development, configuration management, purchasing, etc.
    • Develop and maintain good customer relations.
    • Travel periodically to customer locations throughout the US for hands-on interaction with products in development and field support. Travel frequency varies but will be roughly 25% of the time.


    • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering design
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Design, development and/or testing experience with electro-mechanical, wiring harnesses, and electronic assemblies.
    • Experience with power systems.
    • Excellent people skills, preferably experience working on a small, fast-paced team.
    • Ability to travel.
    • Must be hands on with ability to troubleshoot in the field.
    • Experience with robotics and unmanned systems is preferred but not required.
