About the Role

Checkout.com is looking for an experienced SVP Financial Partnerships to help build out the Partnerships team which is responsible for managing Checkout.com’s payment method partnerships including the major card schemes, alternative payment method providers and third-party acquiring partners.
 
In this role, you will be expected to work with external and internal stakeholders to develop Checkout.com’s partner operating model and ensure that it continues to facilitate our revenue growth.
 
You will be responsible for managing Checkout.com’s payment method partnerships team which is rapidly growing to meet the needs of Checkout.com as it expands geographically and enhances its merchant solutions.
 
Reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects and play a key role in building a world-class department and supporting the company’s rapid growth.
 

Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and develop the Checkout.com Partnerships team commensurate with the over-all growth of the company
    • Relationship Management: manage and develop existing relationships with card scheme partners, as well as other payment method partners of Checkout.com
    • Operations Management: work closely with our acquiring partners on a day-to- day basis to resolve operational issues that affect our merchant base
    • Project Management: execute various acquiring related projects across multiple geographies
    • Facilitate planning and project estimation within the Card Scheme team
    • Provide card scheme and payment method expertise to support local sales teams on strategic deals
    • Business Development: support geographical expansion plans through new acquiring partnerships

About You

    • 10+ years experience in an operations management role involving the development of payment products and/or working on Card Scheme related projects.
    • Strong industry knowledge of today’s major ecommerce and payments technologies
    • Capable leader, who leads by example and is a team-player with excellent client and stake-holder management skills.
    • High energy and dynamic, capable of adapting to changing requirements with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with strong attention to detail
    • Excellent communication,  presentation and project management skills
    • Fluent in English, any additional language is a plus
