The Chicago 2024 Host Committee is looking for committed and enthusiastic individuals with a proven record of community service to serve as Neighborhood Ambassadors for the Democratic National Convention.
These Ambassador program, made up of individuals who represent Chicago’s 77 community areas and some surrounding suburbs, will work with Host Committee staff to recruit the 12,000 volunteers needed to put on the Convention. The goal of the Neighborhood Ambassadors program is not solely to recruit volunteers, but to ensure all of Chicago’s residents have a voice in the planning process and can get involved in the events and activities surrounding the Convention.
In the course of their work, Neighborhood Ambassadors will be expected to:
- Recruit a minimum 50 volunteers from their respective community
- Communicate Host Committee updates, programs, and events to neighborhood partners
- Provide feedback to the Host Committee on community and neighborhood needs as it relates to the 2024 Democratic National Convention
Eligibility
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience working as a leader in their communities
- Completed application, with accompanying written responses and references

This program is sponsored by Development Now for Chicago, an Illinois not for profit corporation that serves as the Host Committee for the 2024 Democratic National Convention (the “Host Committee”).
By submitting this application, you understand and agree that the criteria for selection of an Ambassador will be applied by the Host Committee in its sole discretion and that the selection of each Ambassador will be made by the Host Committee in its sole discretion. The Host Committee is not obligated to select any specific individual, and no applicant will be entitled to be selected, based on application of the announced criteria or for any other reason.
By submitting this application, you release the Host Committee, its directors, officers, employees and agents, from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your application or the Neighborhood Ambassador Program (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether based on contract, tort or otherwise.
Final selection as a Neighborhood Ambassador will be subject to successful completion of a background check.
