We're seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our product and engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to uphold and enhance the quality standards across our product suite. You'll conduct various test types across all development stages and work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Data, and Customer Ops teams to establish and execute quality standards and frameworks. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in analytical and reporting tasks, conducting detailed technical analyses of product requirements and designs, as well as preparing comprehensive technical documentation and release notes.

What you'll do

    • Engage in the analysis and review of requirements and designs to identify potential gaps and issues
    • Plan and execute testing activities: create checklists, configure test environment, conduct manual UI and back-end testing, report and own bugs, prepare quality reports, communicate quality status to the teams and stakeholders
    • Proactively investigate issues reported by customers or teams  together with implementing preventative measures
    • Making impactful decisions, prioritising tasks, and helping engineering teams with the direction
    • Collaborate with the Development team, QAs, and Product managers to ensure that the software updates are delivered in a timely manner
    • Support Implementation team with go-live activities
    • Prepare release notes 
    • Collaborate with the Automation QA engineer to identify opportunities for test automation
    • Improve technical documentation
    • Proactively share knowledge about the system with the teams and stakeholders
    • Engage in Retro sessions to offer feedback and recommendations for improving processes and the software

What you bring to the table

    • 3-5 years of experience with quality assurance, preferably working for software product companies. (Experience in climate/sustainability tech in the travel/hospitality/airline industries is a plus!)
    • Deep understanding of testing principles and best practices 
    • Deep understanding of SDLC in an Agile environment
    • Proficiency in UI and API testing
    • Highly motivated with strong technical skills, ability to deep dive into complex problems & find their root cause
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Experience with command line interfaces, scripting, and programming is an advantage
    • Interpersonal and proactive communication skills, an independent thinker and self-starter
    • Experience with product management tools like Jira or Azure, and project management tools such as Trello or Notion
    • Ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
    • Excited to tackle additional responsibilities that naturally derive as you grow with the company.
    • Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a curious and conscientious nature.
