About the Position:
The Finance Operations Senior Manager will lead ChowNow’s team providing thorough and timely financial services to ChowNow’s restaurant partners. Currently, the team consists of four first level Finance Operations Specialists and a Finance Operations Specialist Lead.  You and your team will facilitate the setup and maintenance of restaurant partners’ accounts on Stripe, our merchant processor. As such, you will play a critical role in enabling our restaurant partners to receive funds from the orders their customers process over our platform. Further, you and your team will oversee all disbursements and disbursement reporting.

Specifically, you will:

Oversee Disbursements and Disbursement Reporting

    •  Facilitate the disbursement of transaction funds through Stripe, our merchant processor, to restaurant partners
    • Explain and when possible remove obstacles to restaurant partners’ ability to receive funds from Stripe, including liens and levies
    • Oversee the release of funds through certain channels or processes outside of Stripe directly through and online banking portal
    • Keep restaurant partners’ bank information up to date
    • Understand and be able to explain nuances in ChowNow’s Disbursement Reporting to restaurant reporting
    • Reconcile variances in Disbursement Reporting
    • File 1099s for restaurant partners exceeding certain annual volumes

Manage and troubleshoot account verification of restaurant partners getting set up on Stripe, our merchant processor

    • Become well-versed in FinCEN requirements
    • Facilitate the setup and maintenance of restaurant partners’ submerchant accounts on Stripe
    • Assist in identifying and removing obstacles to the proper functioning of restaurant partners’ sub-merchant accounts

Within 30 Days, You’ll:

    • Understand how Stripe is integrated into various workflows and meet with various stakeholders across the organization
    • Understand the impact Stripe has on restaurant partners, as well as ChowNow’s business
    • Understand the basic functionalities of Stripe’s system and consequences of altering those functionalities
    • Have met with our account rep at Stripe and set up regularly occurring meetings with our account rep
    • Understand the basics of Disbursement Reporting

Within 60 Days, You’ll:

    • Be able to technically operate Stripe
    • Understand the nuances of of Disbursement Reporting and be able to identify and reconcile variances both internally and externally
    • Begin planning optimization recommendations for reporting, integrations and workflows

Within 90 Days, You’ll:

    • Present recommendations, both short term and long term, for optimizing reporting, integrations, and workflows 
    • Have empowered stakeholders across the organization to resolve the most common issues that arise 

You Should Apply If:

    • You have at least 3 years of experience managing a team.
    • You have experience working with Stripe, especially in account management
    • You have experience onboarding and managing relationships with submerchants
    • You have experience in the operation of anti-fraud software
    • You are analytically minded and able to make data-driven decisions
    • You are process-minded with strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • You’re familiar working with government regulations
    • You’re highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
    • You are trustworthy and demand the same of coworkers
