Job Purpose
The Back End Developer will play a key role in developing scalable, secure, and high-performing server-side applications. Working on an innovative project, they will collaborate closely with our client and team to bring robust and efficient system architecture to life.
Key Accountabilities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary agile teams to deliver exceptional outcomes to customers
Understand customer requirements and collaboratively design scalable backend solutions
Use innovative technologies to build secure and performant APIs and services
Integrate databases, external services, and third-party APIs
Contribute estimates for Agile stories and epics
Develop, document, and test high-quality backend code
Work closely with Frontend Developers and Testers in a collaborative development environment
Solve technical challenges across the stack with our teams and customers
Contribute to the ongoing development of our engineering standards and backend best practices
Knowledge and Experience
2+ years experience in back-end development using Node.js, Express, or equivalent frameworks
Experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL API design and development
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Experience working in an Agile environment
Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms is a plus
